If you're looking for a bowl of comfort, this is the place to go! The establishment was almost a hole in the wall type of place but a mom and pop shop. The pho was absolutely delicious--perfectly balanced broth, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. It arrived super quick after we ordered, too. The service was just as wonderful: attentive, friendly, and efficient. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

I had been here last time and wasn't a fan of their banh mi but their bun Bo hue is really good! It's the best out of the places I've tried on the peninsula and also very affordable. The egg rolls were solid and my partner got com Bo nuong (rice and grill beef). The beef was well seasoned and the closest to how my mom seasons her grilled meats. I wish the bun Bo hue had the traditional toppings of cabbage rather than them using pho toppings but the flavor of the soup makes up for it. There also wasn't a lot of meat but they did have a lot of meat variety which I enjoyed. I'll definitely be coming back here for the bun Bo hue and want to try their bun thit nuong next time!

I love this spot for the vermicelli salad bowl with awesome price They don't use enough pickled radish or nuts The egg rolls are not normal Vietnamese You can not taste meat only taro hoping they will change that And they are friendly

Best Vietnamese restaurant in the Newport area. We had excellent customer service with a super knowledgeable server and amazing fresh food. The restaurant was clean and had fresh produce.

Sophia and I had a late lunch here at one of our favorite spots after she left a hair appointment. This spot has been one of our favorites since 2015. For the most part, the food here has been good. And sometimes we brought friends along who enjoyed not only their meal, but the company as well. Would this visit continue the great vibes? We got seated once we walked in. It wasn't overly packed but they had a nice crowd on a rainy day. And with the both of us hungry, it couldn't have come at a better time. For apps, we chose fried wontons and my main course was a combo Vermicelli noodle dish with beef and chicken as the protein. Everything was quite delicious. The wontons, which have been a go-to app for us since they added it to the menu, was cooked perfectly as always. The Vermicelli combo dish had plenty of beef and chicken to make yours completely full. Sophia enjoyed her selection along with the apps. Overall, a nice dish that was well needed. You know we'll be back here as always. Till next time :)

Pho 83 has some of the best Vietnamese food I've had in awhile. I came with a coworker of mine for a work lunch and it was divine. The service was quick and our food came out pretty quickly. It's a casual spot. We ordered the chicken salad, spring rolls, and pho (blanking on which we ordered, but I believe it was a flank one). The pho stole the show. Its flavors were so delicious. I highly recommend ordering a large bowl to share because it's big enough for two and a great price. They will give you separate bowls if you ask. The chicken salad wasn't for me, there was a specific ingredient I wasn't a fan of, but my friend really liked it. She found it refreshing. We both enjoyed our spring rolls. She got a foam coffee and liked it too. One of my big indicators of food being really good is when I can't stop eating it even after I'm full. I was past full and still slurping on my noodles in my pho. I highly recommend checking this Newport News local gem out ASAP!
